Thank you for visiting bocaridingclub.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what information Boca Riding Club (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects from visitors, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using this Site, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
If you have any questions about this policy or your information, you can reach us any time at bocaridingclub@yahoo.com.
Information We Collect
Information you provide to us
We collect information you voluntarily share, including:
- Bookings and registrations. When you book a lesson, horsemanship session, camp day, or tuition subscription through our scheduling tool, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and the details of your booking. When you book for a child, we also collect the information you provide about the rider, such as their name, age, riding experience, and any allergies or health notes you share so we can keep them safe.
- Contact and inquiries. When you email us or fill out a form, including inquiries about horse training, we receive your contact details and the content of your message.
- Email list signups. If you join our email list, we collect the name, email address, phone number, and interests you provide.
- Payments. When you pay for a lesson, camp, or subscription, your billing information is collected and processed by our third-party scheduling and payment provider. We do not store your full credit card number.
Information collected automatically
When you browse the Site, some information is collected automatically, including your IP address and approximate location, your browser and device type, the pages you view, the site that referred you, and the date and time of your visit. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see below).
How We Use Your Information
- To schedule, confirm, and deliver the lessons, camps, sessions, subscriptions, and training you book
- To keep riders safe, including knowing about allergies or health notes you share
- To respond to your questions and communicate with you about your bookings
- To send you emails you have asked to receive, such as new lesson times and camp announcements
- To understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it
- To keep the Site secure and to comply with our legal obligations
We will never sell your personal information.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
This Site uses cookies and similar technologies to help it function and to understand how it’s used. These include:
- Necessary cookies that make the Site work properly, including remembering your cookie choice.
- Booking cookies. Our scheduling tool (Acuity Scheduling) sets cookies so its calendar and booking flow work correctly when embedded on our pages.
- Email and form cookies. If you interact with our email signup form (powered by Flodesk), cookies and similar storage may be used to remember your interaction, for example so the signup panel does not keep reopening after you have minimized it or signed up.
- Analytics cookies that help us understand how visitors use the Site (these may include tools such as Google Analytics), where enabled.
You can change your choice at any time using the “Your Privacy Choices” link at the bottom of every page, and you can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the Site function. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal sent by some browsers.
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only in these limited situations:
- Service providers. We use trusted third-party tools to run our business, such as our scheduling and payment provider (Acuity Scheduling), our email platform (Flodesk), our website host, and analytics providers. These providers receive only the information needed to perform their service.
- Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of ourselves or others.
- Business transfers. If our business is sold or reorganized, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide our services, communicate with you, and meet our legal and record-keeping obligations. You may ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).
Your Choices and Rights
- Email. You can unsubscribe from our marketing emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any email.
- Cookies. You can change your cookie choice any time using the “Your Privacy Choices” link in the footer.
- Access and deletion. You may ask what personal information we hold about you or your child and request that we correct or delete it by emailing bocaridingclub@yahoo.com.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). We honor those rights where they apply. We do not sell personal information.
Children’s Privacy
We offer lessons and camps for children, but our Site and booking tools are meant to be used by parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Any information about a child rider is provided by a parent or guardian when they book. If you believe a child has given us information directly, please contact us and we will delete it.
Third-Party Links
Our Site may link to or embed third-party tools (such as our booking calendar and email signup form). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those services, and we encourage you to review their policies.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
