Riding lessons
English and Western riding for kids and adults, from a rider's very first lesson all the way to advanced.
Every lesson starts on the ground
Great riders begin as great horse people, so every rider takes part in their horse's care before and after they ride. It builds confidence, responsibility and a real bond with the horse.
- 1
Groom
Riders learn to approach and handle their horse safely, then brush them down and check them over before every ride.
- 2
Tack up
With an instructor alongside, riders put on the saddle and bridle themselves and learn why each piece matters.
- 3
Ride
Lessons are matched to each rider's level, with small groups so instructors can give everyone real attention.
- 4
Care
After the ride, riders cool their horse down, untack and put away their equipment, and say a proper thank you.
For kids and adults
Whether you're signing up your child or finally signing up yourself, there's a lesson time that fits your week.
For kids
After-school lessons Monday to Thursday, starting with 30-minute private lessons for ages 3 to 6, and 30- or 60-minute group or private lessons for ages 7 and up.
For adults
Weekday lessons available Tuesday to Thursday, starting at 9 AM. Beginners and riders coming back after many years away are always welcome.
Lesson options
Every option is available in English or Western riding and includes the full horsemanship routine, and riders are always matched to a horse that suits their level.
Group lessons
Our most popular lesson. Riders are grouped by age and ability and take part in every part of their horse's care, from grooming and tacking up to riding and post-ride care. It's a great way to learn and to make friends at the barn.
Private lessons
Individual instruction for riders who want faster progress or a lesson built around their own goals, with the same complete horsemanship approach.
Ride every week with a tuition subscription
With a tuition subscription, riders keep a reserved lesson day and time each week, which builds the consistency that makes riders progress. Subscribers also get priority scheduling and invitations to club events and riding opportunities.
For riders who want to progress more quickly, we recommend riding two to three times a week.
Life as a club member
A few of our favorite moments with our riders of every age, from lessons and camp to everyday life at the barn.
